Compare Campgrounds is free to use, and the site is paid for by ads and, in some cases, affiliate links.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site, such as gear suggestions, may be affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page code. At the moment the site has no active affiliate programs, so retailer links are plain links with no tracking codes.

Official booking links come first and are not paid

On every campground page, the booking link at the top of "Plan & book" goes to the official source: Recreation.gov, the state park reservation system, the managing agency, or the campground's own website. We are not paid for these links, and no business can pay to change a campground's data, ranking or position on this site.

Ads

Independence

Compare Campgrounds is not affiliated with Recreation.gov, any federal or state agency, or any campground. Our data and methods are described on the About & data sources page.
