Virginia State Parks With Electric Campsites: 2026 Rates

Virginia State Parks offer electric-and-water campsites at 23 parks. Virginia residents pay $37 a night at most of them and $43 at 4 parks (First Landing, Kiptopeke, Lake Anna and Shenandoah River). Non-residents pay $43 to $50, according to DCR's published 2026 fee schedule. Rates exclude the $5 reservation fee. Bear Creek Lake, Hungry Mother and Kiptopeke also have full-hookup sites with sewer. Maximum RV length varies a lot, from 30 feet at Fairy Stone to 65 feet at Occoneechee and Pocahontas, so check the column before booking a big rig. 4 parks (Douthat, Hungry Mother, Pocahontas and Shenandoah River) keep a campground loop open year-round, and the rest run on DCR's seasonal schedule, generally March to December. Several parks, including Douthat, Fairy Stone, Grayson Highlands and James River, also have horse campsites.
