Winter cabin rules in Tennessee

Tennessee State Parks names Cumberland Mountain, Pickett, Norris Dam, Reelfoot Lake, Pickwick Landing, Chickasaw, Roan Mountain and Standing Stone in its own winter cabin feature. At Pickwick Landing, cabins need a 2-night minimum stay (3 nights at peak holidays), and the maximum stay grows from 14 nights (March 1 – November 30) to 28 nights from December 1 to the end of February. Pet-friendly cabins charge $20 per pet per night; Pickwick's premium cabins don't allow pets, and Standing Stone allows pets only in cabins 1, 1A, 12, 14 and 15.

Winter exceptions: at Standing Stone, rustic cabins 2, 6, 13, 17 and 18 and the Overton Lodge are not available November – March, and its gas log fireplaces are seasonal. Chickasaw's cabins have wood-burning fireplaces, with wood provided October to March. The campgrounds at Standing Stone, Pickett and Norris Dam are closed for renovation; their cabins are listed separately, so confirm availability when you book.

How we check: a cabin is listed only if an official park source says it is heated and rented in winter. Anything the park doesn't state is shown as "Not listed". Checked October 26, 2026; confirm details when you book.

"Pets allowed" and "Bathroom" only match listings where the park states it. Parks often allow pets in only some cabins.
